Winter update

Happy Winter Midwesterners!!! Bayley here with an update on the family that is mine (let me know if that was correct grammar...or even made sense). We're all staying warm, and plenty busy. Braxton and I had Semester 1 finals this past week, so there was a lot of studying in the house. But they're over now and we're excited to begin the 2nd half of the semester with a clean slate and new classes. Zoe had begun rehearsals for the church spring musical, "Fat, Fat Jehoshaphat". Zoe has a speaking role this time and is working very hard on memorizing her lines. Emma has started another round of dance lessons and is learning how to read and write. Every week the class focuses on a different letter in the alphabet. Mom and David traveled up North this past weekend for some fun in the snow. I don't know much about the trip except that they went hiking with the dogs most of the time and not a single case of frost bite.
Beth here now :)- NO frostbite. The temps were quite cold, and some wind when we weren't in the woods. But the snow was powdery, and very deep, which proved to be insulating instead of wet. Snow shoes would have been handy for some of the trail. The dogs were leaping in and out of belly deep snow. I think they enjoyed it though. They sure did sleep well at night! :) If you can't live in the tropics, you may as well learn to have fun in the arctic!
Stay warm everyone! By mid-week it should be in the mid 20's!!
